The Battle

Never give up ,never give in. Outside bloodsuckers with fangs deeply inserted into skateboard and underground culture do you recognize? Try to prevent a sad state of affairs from getting worse you have seen what happened with the music industry. You can spot the fraud very easily if you keep your eyes open. Cheap product being pumped out by and sold by shortsighted company's that are more concerned about monthly numbers than anything else. Do want you want, keep it real if you are real, if you are not than this probably would not concern you in the first place. Check out how lame most of the graphic design ,ads and layouts are. How stupid do they think we are.

spots

The best thing about skating is seek and skate whatever you can find. No rules, no pads, no skate coaches, no MTV,ESPN,RED BULL or any of that shit. You can have a piece of shit board and cheap ass sneakers and still have a good time.

Mertz backside air/ invert @ Houston TX 1985

We had a rad apartment in Houston no tv,radio, chairs, table or dishes. It was more like a camp site with a roof and electricity. Across the street there was a crappy little store that had a great deal on dr pepper quarts and beef jerky. We started decorating the walls with empty tv dinner boxes and wrappers from junk food and other culinary delights.
Down the street there was a cool bank with a parking curb that was great for smith grinds and boardslides.
That guy in background on the bmx bike looked bummed because he was riding a Huffy.

Another Fischl Indy air.

I remember going on the craziest skate missions with Fish, we drove to the Pocono's to search for empty and or abandoned pools to skate total all day mission burning high octane like it was going out of style. Most of the time we found shit but on a good day we would find something epic.

Dagnasty , again

Crowd shot. Some prominent LVHC locals right there if you can spot them. The crazy thing about airport is they had bouncers that loved to beat the shit out of you if you crossed the line . When I find the Mugface photo's I will post them.

Dagnasty

Brian Baker airport music hall Allentown Pa. almost every weekend it was off to Airport music hall to check out a show. Never a dull moment especially when hardcore and metal crowds mixed (crossover they liked call it sigh..) . Mugface opened the show as far as I can remember. This was wig out at denko's period Dagnasty not my favorite after Can I Say, but none the less it was a pretty good show. of course there was a few outspoken hecklers. Do you remeber who?

Bungaboosheye

Two dollars to see American Dream and YDI at G's beef & brew in Allentown Pa. The Circle Jerks , Reflex from Pain and FOD at Love Hall in Philly. I remember Reflex from Pain was pissed because the Circle Jerks made them cut their set short, acting like fucking rock stars. What can you say the Circle Jerks had Shawn Kerri art, Reflex did not. Bite the Dog that bit me! It was a pretty fucking amazing show!

Brian Fischl

Indy air at the second MFC ramp, what I remember most about Brian , he had a bad ass 1969 Camaro with side pipes and cragar centerline rims. I remember I could hear his car for about a mile before he would show up at the ramp. He was allways down to skate and would skate anytime and anything. Died in drunk driving accident over ten years ago.

The Wall ramp, Belmar New Jersey ,Steve Herring

Steve Herring frontside air off the extension,10' high 8' transitions 2' vert and about 8' flat?.This was the first real backyard vert ramp most of the crew ever skated. Locals Steve Herring,Jim Murphy and Russ Iglay all ripped this thing to shreds. On one ocasion Johnny Feedback the drummer of Kraut(NYC hardcore punk band) was sessioning , hooked us up with some stickers we were stoked! Russ Iglay was in Underdog with his younger brother Dean and Chuck Treece of Mcrad fame.
